In the museum is a display of various types of mathematical devices created for or modified for the blind with Braille. Such items are a large Braille slide rule - it can be compared with the regular one there, too. We have the original prototype of the Cranmer Abacus, given to us by a friend of Rita Livingston and passed on to Superintendent Bill Daugherty. Along with these items you will find a braille yardstick and a caliper. The final items are two cubarithms, one donated by a previous employee that is metal - upon which are raised numbers. The plastic one has Braille on the top of the pieces.
