Edward F Guerra . Blind since birth, Ed attended the Texas School for the Blind. He learned piano tuning there at the age of 13 and started the career that he loved so much.

After 5 years of teaching piano tuning at TSBVI, Ed spent 15 years as a piano technician at the University of Texas School of Music. Many private customers valued his expert skills in tuning and repairing their pianos. Ed was a Registered Piano Technician in the Piano Technician's Guild for 45 years. He was an original founder of the Austin chapter and served as an officer and active member. As a lifetime member of the American Council of the Blind, Ed pursued legislative issues that were of importance to the blind community. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Texas School for the Blind for several years.

Born in San Antonio on September 2, 1944, Ed passed away peacefully on August 3, 2013 after a long battle with the many complications of diabetes.
